The It’s all well and good to have a character model looking good and at times even much better than you had imagined it to be in your blueprint. But without movement and action, it might as well just be a picture and a beautiful picture at that.
The challenge is usually skinning the character, which is defining how the model will deform each body part with its skeleton. For me, this has been a great challenge. But like all challenges it’s been a learning experience and a satisfying journey especially when you finally see your character moving and coming to life - I can honestly say that this is the best part of my job, the part I look forward to even though before getting to it I have pulled a few hairs.
